Custom concrete and site work completed by Murray General Contracting in the Lehigh Valley

Specialty Projects

The jobs outside the usual list: bridges, restoration, and commercial, municipal, and industrial concrete.

When the work does not fit a standard driveway or patio, we are still the crew you call. Murray General Contracting handles residential bridges, concrete restoration, ADA ramps, catch basin rebuilds, and commercial, municipal, and industrial concrete across the Lehigh Valley.

Commercial, Municipal, Industrial & Residential

One crew for the work nobody else wants to figure out.

Most contractors stop at the everyday list. Specialty work is the part of the job that takes planning, the right equipment, and a crew that has done difficult pours before.

Murray General Contracting takes on commercial property maintenance, municipal concrete, industrial slabs, residential bridges and access crossings, concrete restoration, ADA ramps, and inlet and catch basin reconstruction. We serve commercial, municipal, and industrial clients, and we still pour for homeowners across Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Breinigsville, and the rest of the Lehigh Valley and Eastern Pennsylvania.

You get one local crew from the first measurement to the final walkthrough, and a free estimate within 48 hours of sending us the details. We also run a Vactor 2110 hydrovac and sewer-jetting truck, so we can expose, clean, and dig around a structure before we rebuild it.

What Counts As Specialty Work

Five kinds of jobs we are built for.

01

Residential bridges & access crossings

A creek, ditch, or drainage swale should not cut you off from a back field, shed, or wooded lot. We build crossings on footers set below frost depth, size them for the load you plan to drive over, and keep water moving underneath so the banks hold.

02

Concrete restoration

When existing concrete is worth saving, we repair spalled and cracked surfaces, remove failed sections, and rebuild steps and walls. Where it is past saving, we tear it out and pour fresh, and we bring the work up to current code.

03

Commercial property maintenance

Parking lots, walkways, loading areas, and entries take abuse year round. We patch, replace, and reconstruct concrete on commercial sites and keep the disruption to your tenants and customers as short as the pour allows.

04

Municipal concrete work

For townships and boroughs we pour and rebuild sidewalks, curbs, ADA ramps, inlets, and catch basins to spec. We read the plan, set the grades, and tie the new work cleanly into the existing pavement and curb line.

05

Industrial concrete work

Equipment pads, heavy slabs, footers, and pours that carry real weight need the right thickness and reinforcement. We build the base to match the load and pour flat so the surface stays sound under traffic and machinery.

Why Owners And Townships Call Us

Hard jobs done right the first time.

Built below frost depth

Footers for crossings, walls, and structures go down past the roughly 36 to 42 inch frost line, so Pennsylvania freeze-thaw does not heave the work loose.

Built up to code

On restoration and municipal work we build to current code, with the slope, width, and landings that ADA ramps and curb cuts require.

The right equipment on site

Our Vactor 2110 hydrovac and jetting truck lets us expose, clean, and dig around buried structures so we rebuild inlets and basins on solid ground.

One accountable crew

The same local crew runs your job from first measurement to final walkthrough. You always know who is on site and who answers for the work.

Specialty Work We Do

For commercial, municipal, industrial, and residential clients.

Most of these jobs lean on the rest of what we do. See our concrete construction for the pours and finishes, excavation and site work for the digging and grading, and hydrovac and utility services for clean, non-destructive access around buried lines.

Did a fantastic job. Fast. Trustworthy. Honest. On time. Everything you want in a contractor.

Specialty Project Questions

What owners and managers ask us.

Both. Murray General Contracting works for commercial property owners, municipalities, and industrial clients across the Lehigh Valley, and we still pour residential steps, walls, and access crossings for homeowners. The same local crew runs the job whether it is a backyard entry rebuild or a catch basin in a parking lot.

Yes. We build residential bridges and access crossings over creeks, ditches, and drainage swales so you can reach a back field, shed, or wooded lot. We set the footers below frost depth, size the crossing for the load you plan to drive over it, and keep water moving underneath so the bank does not wash out.

Restoration means saving or rebuilding existing concrete instead of replacing the whole structure. That can mean removing failed sections, repairing spalled or cracked surfaces, rebuilding steps and walls, and bringing the work up to current code. On one entry rebuild we removed failing concrete steps, old wooden stairs, a gutter curb, and a railroad-tie garden bed, then rebuilt it with two new step sets, a central landing, and two new walls in about five days, all built up to code.

Yes. We form and pour ADA ramps, landings, and curb cuts to the required slope, width, and landing dimensions so the approach is safe and usable. We confirm the run and rise before we set forms so the finished ramp meets the grade your site and code call for.

Yes. We rebuild inlets and catch basins that have cracked, settled, or collapsed, reset the casting and grate to grade, and tie the structure back into the surrounding pavement or curb. Our Vactor 2110 hydrovac truck can clean and expose the structure first so we rebuild on a sound base instead of guessing.

We give a free estimate within 48 hours of getting your details. For commercial, municipal, and industrial work, send us the scope, site access, and any plans or specs, and we will walk the site and price it honestly. One crew handles the project from first measurement to final walkthrough.
