Concrete Construction
Driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage slabs, footers, retaining walls, and stamped finishes. One local crew pours it all, built on a real base and finished to last through Pennsylvania winters.
Concrete Done Right, In One Place
Most homeowners do not need ten separate trades to fix the concrete around a house. They need one contractor who can tear out the failing slab, fix what is underneath, and pour it back the right way.
Murray General Contracting is a locally owned concrete contractor serving the Lehigh Valley and Eastern Pennsylvania, from Allentown and Bethlehem to Easton and out to Breinigsville. We pour residential and light commercial flatwork and structural concrete: driveways, sidewalks, patios, steps, porches, garage and shed slabs, footers, retaining walls, and decorative finishes. The same crew that measures the job pours it and walks it with you at the end.
Owner Jacob Murray and his crew show up, do the work, and explain what is happening as they go. You get one point of contact, clean work, and a free estimate within 48 hours of sending us the details.

How We Work
We look at the site, take measurements, and send a free estimate within 48 hours. You deal with the crew that does the work, not a salesman.
We tear out and haul the old surface, fix the grade so water runs off, and compact a real stone base. Most concrete fails underneath, so this step matters most.
Squared forms set the edges and the pitch. We add wire or rebar where the load calls for it, then pour and finish the surface, from broom finish to stamped or exposed aggregate.
We cut control joints so the slab cracks where we plan, give you the cure dates, and walk the finished work with you before we leave.
Why It Lasts
Stone compacted in lifts gives the slab nothing to settle into. It is the difference between concrete that lasts and concrete that cracks apart in a few winters.
We set the pitch so rain and snowmelt run off instead of pooling, freezing, and prying the concrete apart. Standing water is what kills flatwork around here.
Steps, porches, and walls sit on footings poured below the frost line, roughly 36 to 42 inches in this area, so the freeze-thaw cycle cannot heave them out of place.
From the first measurement to the final walkthrough, one local crew owns the job. Nothing gets lost in a handoff between subcontractors.

Concrete Questions
We pour flatwork and structural concrete for homes and light commercial sites: driveways, sidewalks, patios, steps, porches, garage and shed slabs, pole barn floors, equipment and dumpster pads, aprons, curbs, footers, small foundation walls, retaining walls, and slab additions. We also do stamped, colored, exposed aggregate, and broom finishes.
The whole job. One local crew handles demolition, hauling, grading, the stone base, forming, reinforcement, the pour, the finish, and cutting joints. The same people who take the first measurement walk the finished work with you, so nothing falls through a handoff.
Concrete shrinks as it cures and moves as the ground freezes and thaws. We cut control joints so any movement shows up along planned lines instead of as random cracks, and we build a compacted stone base at the right slab thickness so the slab has nothing to settle into. That keeps cracking to a minimum through Pennsylvania winters.
We work across the Lehigh Valley and Eastern Pennsylvania, including Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Breinigsville, and the surrounding towns. We are based in Breinigsville at 9997 Ziegels Church Rd.
Both. Standard broom finish is the workhorse for driveways and walks, but we also pour stamped, colored, and exposed aggregate finishes when you want the surface to look like stone, brick, or finished texture. We will show you options that fit the house.
